Psychosocial Worker - On Call

Main Responsibilities

  • Assessing crisis situations over the phone and in person;
  • Analyzing needs related to the crisis;
  • Developing and following up on intervention plans in collaboration with the client and their support network;
  • Supporting clients through their steps, when needed;
  • Conducting follow-up interviews with clients individually;
  • Referring clients to appropriate resources;
  • Reviewing and updating client files at all times;
  • Supervising and maintaining the shelter environment.

Do you have these qualifications?

  • Bilingualism (English/French) is required;
  • Valid driver’s licence;
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (social work, psychoeducation, psychology, etc.);
    OR a college diploma in social work, special education, or a related field (salary scale depends on education level);
  • Experience working with clients in psychological or psychosocial distress, with or without mental health issues.

Starting salary for DEC holders: $23.74/hour


Starting salary for Bachelor's degree holders: $26.08/hour
